Chris Gillie BA FCCA – Managing Director & Accountant

Chris studied Accounting before beginning his accountancy career in 2002. He qualified as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2006 and has since gained vast knowledge & expertise in all services areas. Chris provides clients with business advisory & consultancy services while also overseeing internal operations. Chris, originally from Kelso now lives in Bellingham with his wife, 2 children & 2 dogs. An avid football fan, Chris often spends his weekends following his beloved Rangers FC, as well as checking the Newcastle results too!

Robert Charman BSc Hons FCA – Director & Accountant

Rob began working in the accountancy industry in 2005 following on from his time at Durham University studying Natural Sciences. He then went onto qualify as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2011. Rob has vast experience of Limited Company Accounts and Corporation Tax so is best placed to oversee our Corporate clients. He deals with any internal Training needs within TyneRede. Robert grew up in the Tyne Valley and now lives in Bellingham with his wife & daughter where his commute to work is on foot. Rob enjoys camping in various areas of the UK, no matter what the weather is!

Sarah Little BA Hons ACCA – Senior Accountant


Sarah studied Accounting & Financial Management before joining us. Since then, Sarah has gained experience in all areas of accountancy. She qualified as a member of ACCA in 2020. Sarah deals with Farming and Forestry clients mainly, while overseeing external training and Client Relations. Sarah, originally from Bellingham, now lives with her partner & 2 young boys on their family farm on Hadrian’s Wall. Sarah can often be found helping out on the farm, or walking her cocker spaniel, Tilly around the farm or venturing out into Northumberland and beyond with the boys.

Gemma Dagg BA Hons FCCA – Senior Accountant

Gemma gained her degree in Business Studies with Accounting before spending time working in the leisure industry. Gemma qualified as a member of ACCA in 2015. She has vast knowledge of Charities & Non-Profit Organisation Accounts so naturally she oversees those clients at TyneRede, as well as assisting Robert with Limited Company Accounts. Gemma also oversees our VAT and Management Accounts. She is also TyneRede's Compliance Officer. Gemma is married with 2 young boys & lives in Bellingham - weekends are often spent with the boys going for walks or visiting local attractions. Gemma also has a keen interest in pottery!

Matthew Trevorrow - Senior Accountant

Matthew joined TyneRede in January 2024. He comes with a wealth of accountancy knowledge, having studied Accountancy at The University of Liverpool, and has worked in practice for a firm in West Cumbria, dealing with a wide variety of clients from sole traders to limited company clients, and everyone in between. Matthew is based in our Haltwhistle office Monday to Thursday, and Bellingham on a Friday.
Matthew lives with his wife and son in Carlisle. Matthew loves a quiz show, his claim to fame is that he has appeared on 15 to 1, The Weakest Link and more recently, Countdown!

Lucy Walby - AAT Trainee

Following high school, Lucy gained an apprenticeship in Business Administration before joining us. Lucy deals with VAT Returns & monthly/quarterly bookkeeping for our clients. Lucy is currently studying AAT Level 3. She lives on her family farm near Capheaton and in her spare time, she spends a lot of time helping out on the farm. Lucy is also a very busy member of her local young farmers club, as well as spending a lot of the summer months eventing in competitions around the county and beyond with her horse, Lance.

Emma Watson – Practice Manager

Emma joined our team after working as practice secretary at a local vets firm. She brings vast experience in practice administration and customer service. Emma oversees practice administration, client onboarding & administration and company secretarial duties for our Limited Company clients. Internally, Emma deals with HR, staff wellbeing and company marketing. Emma is almost at the end of AAT Level 3, and will progress onto Level 4 shortly. Emma lives on her family farm near Ponteland and in her spare time, she's either helping on the farm, horse riding or walking her wire-haired dachshund up the fells in the Lake District.

Lisa Crocker - AAT Trainee

Prior to joining TyneRede, Lisa gained a degree in Bio Medical Sciences. Following a move to the area with her family in 2009, Lisa decided on a career change and completed her AAT Level 2 before joining us. Lisa works in our VAT & Bookkeeping team, preparing and submitting VAT returns and is the first point of call for our VAT clients. Originally from Lancashire, Lisa moved to Northumberland with her husband and 2 sons. Lisa assists on the farm whenever she can, as well as taking the boys to various clubs and activities. When she does get time to herself, Lisa enjoys running, and is an avid concert goer!

Katie Moore - AAT Trainee

Katie joined the team in October 2023 after working in her family business for many years. Katie deals with our Payroll service at TyneRede, and will be helping with VAT and Tax Returns when time allows. She will be studying for her AAT qualifications alongside her role, starting at Level 3 shortly. Katie lives in Falstone with her partner, and when not in the office, she might still be helping out her family in their business, or walking her two dogs Buddy & Lola in the local area.
